I’m currently located in Michigan, though I’m actively exploring housing options in multiple states and am still determining where I plan to settle long-term. I work remotely in social media and marketing, which gives me flexibility in location.

I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community and value safe, respectful living environments. I also have a small pet lizard who is quiet, fully contained, and very well cared for.

While I have no ethical objections to cannabis, I am severely allergic to smoke and fumes, so a smoke-free environment is medically necessary for me. It is also extremely important that any residence be free of mold, as past mold exposure caused serious health issues.

I do have one eviction on my record—the only eviction I have ever had—which was directly related to toxic mold in a prior residence that became uninhabitable and significantly impacted my health. Before and after that situation, I have maintained a strong rental history. I am happy to discuss this transparently and am willing to pay a higher deposit if needed. If this is not something your management is able to work with, I completely understand, but I cannot continue applying to places where this would be an automatic disqualification.
