I’m looking to find a room and roommates for me and my cat in Brooklyn or Manhattan this fall. I am an easy-going introvert looking to explore career options and the city itself. I would be most comfortable doing a 6 months lease with opportunity to renew if all goes well. I would consider myself a pretty easy person to live with, I always clean up after myself and expect others to do the same and respect the shared space. I think that good communication can solve most things, and that having a comfortable home is really important. I probably wouldn’t have people over a bunch but don’t mind if you do as long as I have a heads up. I’d like to really get along with my roommate(s), and be able to hangout sometimes but also respect alone time. My ideal situation would be living with other mid 20s people, preferably women. Politically I’m on the left and would get along best with people who are not conservative. I’m not personally affiliated with any religion, but I was raised Catholic (if you know, you know). Personality wise, I am an introvert at heart but I also love meeting people and doing new things. I’m very down to earth and open-minded, patient, and generally have a positive outlook. I have a lot of hobbies- I’ve been a vegan for 9 years and cook most of my meals. I like doing arts and craft projects, movies, reading, gardening, podcasts, music, being outside and exploring. My cat is 10 years old, and I would describe her temperament as reserved, confident and curious. and is easy to live with if you respect her boundaries. She’s very calm and likes sitting in windowsills, birdwatching and mealtime. If you think we’d be a good roommate match don’t hesitate to reach out! :-)
