Mehreen

Hi! I’m Mehreen, an Assistant Professor from India, and I’ll be moving to Charlottesville as a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Virginia. I’m excited (and slightly nervous!) about starting this new chapter and getting to know a new city. I’m friendly, respectful, clean (hygiene is a MUST), and considerate of shared spaces. I enjoy good conversations, trying new food, exploring new places, and having a peaceful home to come back to after a busy day. I’m also very happy to give people their space - I believe a great home is one where you can be social when you want to, but also enjoy your own quiet time (I am low key introvert myself). I’ll be living in Charlottesville on my own, although my husband may visit me from India once or (max.) twice during my year there for short stays (if his work permits and he gets the visa, haha). I’m hoping to find a comfortable, welcoming home with people who are respectful, communicative, and perhaps open to occasionally sharing a meal or exploring Charlottesville together. I promise to bring good conversation, curiosity, and probably some Indian snacks too! 😊
