My energy as a former farmer has me outside every day sharing a community garden plots with friends, doing volunteer plantings with Goatville Food Forest, hitting up the farmers market regularly, and growing many potted plants on my current front porch!

Being part of my community and supporting neighbors to make the world we live in just a little more safe and nourishing is a value I hold. To root in this, I’m deeply involved volunteering / making art with local NH immigrant coalitions and support policy and organizing efforts for new and beginning CT farmer land access here in CT alongside some really dope farmers! For work, I’m employed full-time & work remotely for a nonprofit focused on helping collectives and communities take land off the speculative market and decommodify it for future affordability and long-term community land access.

As a roommate , I’m a big fan of shared chore charts, clear communication, gentle reminders, occasionally sharing meals together (I enjoy cooking!), as well as impromptu movie nights, and giving one another space to balance and recharge from life outside the home. The benefits of roommate/housemate life, to me, far outweigh minor inconveniences that come up when literally any humans share space (aka mystery dishes lol!), and maintaining a welcoming home with others is a joy for me.

After work I balance computer/sitting time with yoga, hiking, backpacking trips with buddies, and hanging with my nibblings (both of my sisters have two kids under ten). While I enjoy being in my home space to relax and cook on weekends, traveling out of town for long weekends with friends pretty regularly helps me maintain perspective and stay close with people who are important to me.

🐈 I live with a pretty fantastic, friendly, independent cat named Bruce (she/her) who is a former stray and, as such, spends about 16 hours outside in sunshine or snow. She has a bell and tracker on her collar, I watch her on an app through the day / go to find her at night so we can walk home together for bedtime. She’s chatty and sweet!
