Hey friends, my lease ends at the end of July, and I am open to two possibilities: finding an established, aligned home to move into, OR teaming up with an emotionally mature person (ideally 30s–50s) to co-hunt and co-sign a new lease together. Open to starting a bit earlier for the right spot.

The Logistics & Budgets: Renting a room in your home: My budget is $800 – $1,000 (plus utilities).

Teaming up to co-hunt a house: My budget is $1,200 – $1,500 each (plus utilities).

Target Areas: Boulder, Lafayette, or Louisville. Within 20 min of Boulder.

Perks: A small yard for my little dog (registered ESA) Sadie and a gas range are top of my wish list.

About Me & My World: I’m 47 (he/him), a spatial and experiential designer who works from home. I love to cook and share food, and I spend a lot of my time outside hiking, trail running, and cycling. I’m a lover of dancing, live music, being goofy, deep conversations, and deep meditation. I also have a men’s group in Boulder that’s become an important anchor for me here, along with a wonderful community of friends.

The Household Vibe & Values: I’m looking for a home that feels like a little sanctuary: calm, grounded, warm, full of natural light, and easy to share. I value genuine connection with a housemate, while also having plenty of space to disappear into our own worlds when needed. I am open to occasional small gatherings like hosting an authentic relating night, a shared dinner, or a few friends over. Values-wise, I’m deeply drawn to people who are kind, self-aware, emotionally mature, open communicators, sex-positive, and open-minded around personal growth, embodiment, and expanded states. You don’t need to share all of my interests, but a shared openness matters.

Practical Notes: Fragrance-Free: I am allergic to cigarette smoke and artificial fragrances. I need a home free of synthetic perfumes, plug-ins, scented candles, and heavily fragranced laundry/body products. That said, light essential oils, light incense, sage, and palo santo are welcome.

Furnishings: I have a full living room setup (couch, TV/sound system, rugs, shelves, etc). If we co-hunt, I can furnish most of the common spaces; if I’m moving into a room, I can put things in storage.

Meet Sadie Lady 🐾 Sadie is my first dog and she turns 18 in November. She is in her sunset years, moves slowly and sweetly, sleeps under my bed most of the day, and is the quietest, gentlest little 23lb soul. She’s great with chill cats, and if you have a dog, they’d just need to be calm and respectful of her age. She’s an Australian Shepherd/Sheltie mix.
