I need a room ASAP. I might stay 2-3 months or I might stay longer is it turns out to be a good match. Location matters whether mine will be a short term or long term rental. The closer the location is to Casa Colina Hospital at Garey & Bonita., the better. However my goal is to eventually get an apartment of my own, to live alone. I’m a relaxed laid back person. I myself am LGBTQK+, not just friendly. I don’t smoke tobacco and don’t drink (grateful recovering Alcoholic, active in 12 Step since 1989). But your drinking is YOUR business, matters not to me unless you get get stupid stumbling drunk in the house! Please no!
I love clear communication, conversations, negotiations. I’m an honest direct person and I strive to behave with integrity. I live a spiritual life but I’m not going to preach it to you. Depending, I walk with a cane or walker, or neither on good days. Due to health reasons, I need a bedroom with AC that I can control myself or a bedroom that is kept at a cooler temp (below 76, or cooler). I also come with an IHSS Caregiver!! They will keep my room clean and help ME as this is their main duty, but they’ll also do chores around the common areas of the house to chip in as I would and to help keep our home neat and clean. Me? I am quiet, I don’t play loud music. I love silence and solitude, but I am a friendly, chatty soul. I spend the large majority of my time on my computer in my room. I research, read a LOT, and write a little, chat with friends, do Zooms, etc.
If I go out it’s going to be mainly to Casa Colina to see doctors or for physical therapy. I hope I’ll be able to go out to lunch or dinner with friends at times. I usually have my groceries delivered. I’ve traveled the world a bit, and I speak some Spanish. I’m a retired woodshop and drafting teacher but I’ve also taught nearly every possible academic under the sun, at high school or lower grades. I did some tutoring with college students as well. I have had I’ve had a wide variety of jobs/careers over the decades which have made me a handy “Jack of all trades, Master of some”. Open minded and accepting/non-judgemental describes me. Combination hippie, 70s bra burner wild child, teacher, tutor, guide. Don’t let my innocent demeanor fool you. But yes the kind face is valid. I’m allergic to tobacco smoke but I do smoke cannabis and can do so outside if need be.
