Hi! I’m Simon, 28, originally from Switzerland, moving to New York for at least a semester for my studies. I’ve shared flats quite a few times now, in Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Mexico, Cuba and Palestine, and honestly it’s one of my favorite parts of moving somewhere new, as I get to know both locals and internationals. I work a lot, so most evenings I’m pretty low-key, but I’m always up for a chat in the kitchen or a drink together once in a while. When I’m not working I read, watch movies, wander around museums, travel when I get the chance, and ride my bike or my motorcycle. And yes, being Swiss, I do love a good hike! I’ve been super lucky with all my roommates, I never had any issues, and I’ve stayed friends with several people I’ve lived with over the years. Hoping for the same here!
