I may be old but I’m “Cool” Old. I have a creative vein and sell creative planters with cactus and succulents, I paint and restore thrift finds, I am writing a book for my granddaughters, started at the first birth and plan completion when I run out of stories and past ancestry they are part of, I have 7 year old Chiweenie name is Gypsy Queen, a favorite 1970 van Morrison song I loved. I owned a record company from 1979 until 1989 when left with my xhubby and chose the little human boy we created. He is 43 this year and he and his wife are attorneys in North Carolina. Two granddaughters and the oldest was born with her Nana’s spirit and courage. My health issues are primarily orthopedic and wouldn’t be surprised if I ended the year with my first bionic body part, the hip replacement of course. All those dance and yoga years I thought were keeping that area fit like a fiddle but during early 80s the Disco bars and gay ymca boys loved my stamina,! I’m a loner these past few years and always have loved my space and time by myself. I’m not romantically active anymore by choice but I love to cook and entertain friends at my dining table. Music is my escape from the social media idiots who are not capable of having any intellectual and interesting conversation, bless their hearts. By 60 they will become so bored with their own company I believe 70 % will visit Tibet and try to find their human spirit climbing the Himalayas. I hope to find another human who accepts their an old soul and have a mind able to open wide enough they respect others for being who they are. Hopefully they will become so pleasantly surprised to see what a gift they have been given, to find a real authentic fellow to share the sacred space we treasure and protect called home.
