Steve

My name is Steve. I’m looking for a place to stay while I work on credit. I have been living with my brother for the past year after I was in an accident where I got injured.

The most important thing to know is that I am neurodivergent. I can be very absent-minded at times, and I’m not good with “hints”. I prefer clear communication, structure, and rules when it comes to common areas I am a very private and reserved person. I am not great at conversation. I try not to be rude, but I am not really warm or great in social situations. I am the kind of person who spends most of my time on my computer in my room by myself.

I work at UWM and use the gym there. I will be gone from 8 am to 8 pm most days. On the weekend, I spend my time with my kids. I have no pets and no plans to get any.

I have children, and while I would like to have a place I can bring them to, it isn’t a requirement. I’m looking for a place that will help me get stable so I can have my own place to bring them to. My children are an important part of my life, though, and my number one priority is being present in their lives.

I no longer smoke cannabis, but I do not mind being around people who do. I don’t have pets, but I don’t mind them as long as the owner takes responsibility for the pet messes. I try to be open-minded and empathetic, but I am willing to draw a boundary when I need to.

The biggest issue I have living with others is my sleep schedule. Sometimes I stay up late even though I have to work the next day. My computer draws a lot of power, but I am willing to pay to make up the difference. I do not have a lot of friends, so the only reference I can give is my brother.

I am not on social media because I think social media is harmful to people’s mental health.
