Chad

Hey there! I’m Chad, 45, moving out to Newport/Huntington Beach from Minneapolis, where I’ve lived most of my life. I just started as General Manager at Postino in Irvine, so this is my first real home base in California, and I’m pumped to actually do all the California things after a lot of Minnesota winters.

I love cooking, and since I’m a restaurant guy, I can be pretty social. I’ll work a minimum of 45 hours a week, five days a week, probably a mix of mornings and evenings once my schedule firms up. I’ll also be traveling for work sometimes, checking in on other locations, so I might be gone for a few days here and there. But once my battery’s drained from a shift, I’m also just as happy with quiet time.

I’m a nonsmoker, four years sober (no big deal, I’m totally fine with drinking or having alcohol around), and I don’t have any pets. I am allergic to cats though, so that’s the one dealbreaker on my end.

I’ll be brand new to town without knowing many people outside the restaurant, so I’m all about the roommate hang, whether that’s the couch watching whatever the next big show is or walking down to the beach. And hey, I’ll always know the best places to eat.
