Hello!

I’m a 33-year-old PhD student in Economics from Finland, visiting UC Berkeley from August 2026 through January 2027. I’m looking to rent a room during my stay, ideally in a shared apartment or house. My budget is up to $1,500 per month, and I would enjoy living with roommates and getting to know new people.

I’ve lived in shared apartments before and have also spent time living abroad in Spain and Mexico. I’d describe myself as easygoing, respectful, tidy, and considerate of shared spaces. I have visited the Bay Area before and am excited to return. Back home in Finland, I also own and rent out an apartment.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, bikepacking, climbing, reading, films, and hiking. My funding for the entire visit is fully secured, and I’d be happy to provide additional information or references if needed.
