Disabled adult daughter and I are unhoused. We qualify for a program to have me paid full time as my child’s caregiver, but we need a permanent residence to receive this benefit. Right now we qualify under a program that only pays me about $400/month. I also am self-employed doing odd tasks entirely for various companies. I average about $400 a month doing that. We’re also waiting on SSI for my daughter. If we can find a room for rent for a few months within our budget, we can switch to the new caregiver program and find a much better living situation. We have a cat and a dog. The dog is fairly quiet. The cat can be pretty vocal but she’s tiny and not too loud. The cat doesn’t live other animals but will try to keep in her own space. She doesn’t like to fight. The dog loves everyone he’s ever met. Every new animal is his new best friend. We keep to ourselves and will clean up after ourselves. Looking for a short term solution to get us back on our feet.
