I’m looking for a long-term, unfurnished room in South Scottsdale or the nearby Scottsdale/Tempe border — a place to settle into for at least a year, not a short-term stopgap. I’m aiming to move in late summer, around August or early September, before the fall semester starts. Budget is up to about $1,000/month; I’d prefer utilities included but I’m open to a flat split.

A bit about me: I work at a dog boarding facility, so I’m out of the house most of the day on a steady schedule. Off the clock I’m a writer and I’m headed back to school this fall for history and philosophy — so I keep to myself, I’m quiet, and I’m not someone who fills up the common space. I’m tidy and clean up after myself without being asked. No pets of my own.

One practical thing: I drive a truck and need a dedicated parking spot — that’s not negotiable for me, so I’d want to confirm parking before anything else.

On the rental side, I’ll be upfront: I have paystubs showing steady income and my employer is willing to be a reference. My credit history isn’t perfect and I’m happy to talk that through directly with anyone seriously considering me — I’d rather have an honest conversation early than waste your time or mine.
