Description
Hi there! My name is Donna and I would love to have the opportunity to hang out in your home for a little while with my silly fur babies. I’m currently a part-time sophomore college student working through a transfer process from one university to another. I’m a history major with a museums studies minor, with a concentration in extant garment curation. I love to sew, I love history, I love sewing history, and I love to sew history! I started university in Missoula, Montana a few years ago and am currently working to transfer over to UIC in Chicago! I’ve been living with family outside of Chicago the last year after moving back from the west coast and am missing my old roots, guiding me towards living in Traverse City again for a little while! During the day, I’m working on classes from home and as a trained tailor. I am also currently seeking a salary job as well so further income is coming soon! I enjoy spending time with my incredible pets, Dwight and Scrappy Doo (we call him Peanut) and they’ve been my companions through this transition. Dwight is a 9 year old fat man cat rescue who likes to lounge, be very affectionate, and hollar at people when they’re having their coffee. He is a kind cat, old enough where he is pretty content around other animals, he is neutered as well! A measured and slow introduction of him to other house cats can be entirely taken care of on my end - but he takes easily to dogs. Scrappy Doo aka Peanut is the friendliest dog you’ll ever meet!! He is a cheweenie rescue who is 8 years old and is a registered assistance dog. He is certified through my social worker and the government office in Montana, though it applies country-wide. He is quiet, very sweet, super silly, and likes to go to school and doctors appointments with me. He is not a “take everywhere” pup, but he does frequent establishments that enjoy having him and is known to bring up class morale in university settings! He is trained in care and comfort. We are all seeking a place to settle down for 9-12 months while working through this transition and will not be intrusive. I was raised in Elk Rapids and grew up all over the Traverse City area, with many friends all over town who I haven’t seen for the better part of 10 years. I will be unlikely to carry annoying fudgie habits into the home if that’s any worry being that I’m truly a local and I will likely be out and about when I’m not in a class or working at home. I try to keep a good balance so as to not shut myself away in my room! We’d love to join your home if you’ll have us and thank you for reading!!
