Hey there! I’m Halo, 32 (he/they)

Here’s a little about me and my sweet ESA doggo, Appa.

I’m a queer trans-masc transplant originally from Alaska, been in Portland almost 8 years. I have my own vehicle and I work for Tamale Boy and Devil’s Food Catering and love both of my jobs. (bonus - likely to bring home yummy foods to share!)

During down time I love to draw, paint, craft, garden, read, play a little music or watch a good show or film. I love going to see live music, dancing, and getting out in nature, soaking up sun by the river and taking Appa on adventures whenever I can. I love to help friends promote their shows, crafts and events and make a point of supporting fellow creatives, performers & activists in general. I’m sober from alcohol going on 2 years, and while I don’t mind others drinking I hope to share a space where decompression and good rest at night is a common value. I sometimes get home from work late and can be a night owl randomly, but am very conscientious of still respecting quiet hours/people resting. I’m 420 friendly, and I’m happy to only partake outside esp if there’s a porch! I keep hangouts mostly to one-on-one or small groups, but don’t mind others having friends over.

Appa is a sunshiney, extremely affable, 50ish pound land seal. He’s turning 6 this month! Loves people and animals, he listens well and is very well behaved, and has wholeheartedly succeeded in befriending several of our previous housemates’ pets to where they sought him out for attention and company (he Loves cats!).

I’m a caring, consistent, clear communicator, and neurodivergent person and always pay my rent on time. I am fairly well organized and prefer to keep spaces tidy, and I am mindful of leaving communal spaces clean for others to use after me. Looking for kind, like-minded roomies who also prefer a tidy home, like to socialize, share random movie nights or occasional dinners, even go to shows if interests align, and also value our rest, independence, and alone time.
