I’m moving to the Long Beach/LA area for work and am currently looking for a roommate and housing options in downtown Long Beach.

Right now, the main place I’ve been looking at is Elevate Long Beach since it seems like one of the more financially reasonable options while still having really good amenities, parking, and a nice location. My current budget range is ideally around $1000–$1500/month depending on the setup and utilities.

Since rent around here is honestly pretty expensive, one option I’ve been considering is a 1B1B layout where the kitchen and bathroom would be shared/common spaces, while the bedroom and living room could each function as more personal/private areas. I’d personally prefer taking the bedroom space, so I’d definitely be willing to pay a larger share of the rent and work out something that feels fair for both of us.

A little about me … I’m clean, respectful, financially responsible, and pretty quiet overall. I value open communication, keeping shared spaces comfortable/clean, and having a peaceful living environment. Ideally looking for someone who is similarly respectful, communicative, and responsible. Preferably looking to move sometime soon/end of month timeframe.
