Adriano Mendes

Hello! My name is Adriano Mendes, and I am a Brazilian researcher and PhD candidate in Social Sciences at PUC-Rio. My research focuses on urban sociology, public security, surveillance technologies, and facial recognition systems, especially in marginalized urban territories in Brazil. I am also a researcher affiliated with the RASTRO research group and collaborate on projects related to digital rights, urban studies, and public participation. I will be in San Diego for my doctoral exchange program at the Behner Stiefel Center for Brazilian Studies at San Diego State University, and I am currently looking for a room to rent during my stay. I am organized, respectful, calm, and experienced with shared living environments. I value cleanliness, good communication, and a peaceful atmosphere for studying and daily life. My stay will be mainly dedicated to academic research and university activities.
