Cem Arda

Hey! My name is Cem, I’m from Turkey, and I’m currently living in Chicago for my master’s degree. Before moving here, I worked as a lawyer in Turkey for 5 years, mainly in corporate and commercial law. I’m Greek-Turkish, so I grew up with a mix of cultures, food, and traditions, which made me very open-minded and easy to get along with.

In my daily life, I’m pretty active and social but also respectful of personal space and shared living rules. I enjoy running, going to the gym, thrifting, exploring new neighborhoods and coffee shops, and watching sports — especially football, basketball, and combat sports. I also like discovering live music spots, trying different restaurants, and meeting people from different backgrounds.

I’d describe myself as clean, organized, calm, and considerate as a roommate. I’m used to balancing a busy academic/professional life, so I value a peaceful and comfortable home environment.
