Hi there, I’m a 62 yr old senior female with my beloved 10 yr old kitty cat Baby. She does not get along with other cats, but she is great with most dogs. I’m looking for a private bedroom with a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. If there is a washer and dryer that is excellent. I pay my rent on time and all the time. My personal life is my own and I’m not trying to be anyone’s best friend. Having said that, what I mean is this, I mind my affairs and the other person I expect the same. I do not want unsavory individuals in the home that I pay rent at. And I insist on having my own set of keys, most specifically to my room and bathroom. I have had some rental nightmares where my personal property was stolen and I will not hesitate to call the police if this were to be a situation to present itself. I love yard work and I like to have a drink every now and then, I don’t get drunk and stupid and I expect the same from the other renter in and around my space. I like to socialize, do get me wrong, but boundaries must be set first and foremost at the very start so everyone is on the same page. My cat stays in my space with me typically, and I allow her to wander only when I’m present. She is a very sweet cat, and I provide for her all that she needs. I keep her litter box clean and she is not a cat that claws everything. She’s very mellow as am I. I have my own personal belongings, my own bed and dresser and I always provide for myself as well as my own food items. I enjoy chit chat, but sometimes I just like to be alone in my room doing nothing at all. Because I worked all my life and I earned that privilege, lol! I may sound harsh or hard core, but I’m only being direct and straight-up as that’s what is required sometimes. Because people don’t always hear what’s being said, and to me it’s very important to respect each other’s privacy and their own space. I don’t blast my stereo or my tv, and I need my own bathroom for obvious reasons. Because I’m a woman and I’m 62 years old. I have a tendency to be misunderstood, and I am sorry for that and I get it. But this is just a roommate situation that’s meant to be livable for each person and the bills getting paid on time every month when they are do is the most crucial of all things. And meeting people in person helps set a better tone in my view. Things get lost in translation through texting and I feel it’s more helpful to meet people face to face because I’m old fashioned and that’s what I prefer. Because I’m old…er! Lol!
