Hi! My name is Molly, I’m 24 and planning to move to Richmond around late July / August. I graduated from JMU in 2023 and work in psychology / nonprofit‑related work. I’m hoping to find 2–3 roommates to look for a house together, ideally a 4‑5 bedroom 2-3 bathroom place so there’s room for shared space and possibly a guest room. My budget is around $1,200/month (including utilities) for my portion of rent if we split the rent of a house! Some non-negotiables for a house include in-home washer/dryer and AC. I’m especially drawn to houses with character (brick, fireplaces, porches, yard) and neighborhoods like The Fan, Museum District, Oregon Hill, or nearby areas, though I’m open to ideas. I have a 4‑year‑old cat named June, so pet‑friendly is important. I’d love to be friendly with the people I live with — watching shows together or hanging out occasionally — while also valuing independent time, open communication, and respect for each other’s space, schedules, and noise levels. I enjoy having friends over and would love to live in a home where that’s welcomed, as long as we’re all mindful of one another. I’m queer and would love to live with other queer folks or people who are queer‑friendly. I really value mutual respect, keeping shared spaces clean, and open communication. Outside of work, I love art and crafts, reading, traveling, being outside, spending time with friends, and learning new things. I’m really interested in working together as a group to find a place and make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. I’d love to get to know potential roommates a bit first — ideally meeting in person if possible — so we can make sure the living situation feels comfortable and aligned for all 3–4 of us.
