i am on SSI and i have applied to 2 apartment places with 1-5 yr waitlist as i need a bottom ground level apartment due to being disabled and looking for places like the other 2 where my rent would only be 30% of my income so $300 a month is what id be paying at the other 2 places. im just super worried and scared that both of my grandparents will die before it gets to my turn on the wait list (Nan is currenly declining and probably doesnt have much longer, and grandpa is healthier he gets around and cares for her along with hospice but idk how long he will last after she passes cause he could die soon after from heartbreak as they have been married 64 years and been together for 72 they are both 83 atm) and i dont wanna end up homeless so i really need to try to find someone that could help me temporarily when they do pass “IF” i havent gotten into one of the apartments yet as i dont/cant be homeless, but wouldnt be able to afford more than $300 a month as i do pay for my own food and xfinity (which would come with me) and all my own supplies such as laundry soap and dish soap and i pay for all my own things so whoever helps me wont have to worrry about me being a bother as i also keep to myself but i do have all my own furniture (not a whole house worth just what fits in a bedroom). i always pay on time on the 1st i pay my own bills and cable and internet and i do have a cat but he is medically needed as my emotional support animal i have a drs note from my Psychiatrist stating he is needed and that i cant be denied for having him, he is well behaved and has never gone potty outside of his litterbox and doesnt damage things or get into things he is very well behaved. Furniture wise i have 2 dressers, a desk, nightstand/dresser dad built me, a recliner, bed, a trunk for blankets and a cedar chest thats been passed down generations on my nans side and my own refridgerator (not full size but not mini) and a cement wolf statue that was my moms and the only thing i got leftover from her when she died 6 years ago, also my 2 laundry baskets and 2 plastic moving bags i still have stuff in i never unpacked here but again all stuff that only takes a bedroom not multiple rooms in a house stuff. please please i hope someoen would be willing and able to help me out again it would be temporary and not right now only when my grandpa himself starts to decline health wise. please message or text me if you can help or know someone that could i just wanna get things figured out ahead of time so im not scrambling last second when they are both gone.
