Description
I will be a PhD student in the School of Social Work at UIUC beginning fall ‘26. I live in the western suburbs of Chicago with my wife and will need a room to rent near campus for the first 4 semesters of coursework.
Apart from an occasional weekend stay for on campus events, I anticipate I will travel back home most weekends and all school breaks (fall, winter, spring, summer) to be with my family in the Chicago suburbs.
I am friendly/outgoing and can adapt to the social needs of a roommate (i.e., keep to myself if necessary). I will likely spend the majority of my waking time on campus. I do not drink or smoke and cannot imagine a scenario in which I would invite others over.
