Hi, I’m Joel, a 28 year old male PhD student based in Pittsburgh. I am moving to New York for a 6-month internship.

I’m studying computer science, and will be working in-person in Manhattan 3-5 days per week. Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading, cooking (I’m vegan), movies (especially horror). I haven’t spent much time in New York before so am definitely hoping to explore the city and be pretty social, reconnecting with friends in the area and making new ones. I drink socially but don’t smoke (but i don’t mind if my roommates do). I’m not religious. Politically, I’m left-leaning. I’m queer.
