Hello, I’m Eliot! I’m a recent grad (go bears!), and I’m moving to Franklin from Springfield, MO to start work as a middle school Latin, math, and science teacher for the fall term. I majored in Classics, so I studied ancient Greece and Rome specifically, but I love all kinds of history. In my free time I like to read, write, and draw (outdoors, weather permitting); to thrift/shop secondhand, play a handful of video games, and I’d like to get back into (quietly) playing the piano. I’d describe myself as an ambivert—I love having a thriving social calendar, but I also really love a night in with my cat, Lulu (who is very well-behaved and has experience living with other humans, small dogs, and other cats).

I’m into all sorts of things, so I’ll name a few and maybe we can find some common ground: anything and everything about the Titanic, Donna Tartt’s ‘The Secret History,’ whatever was going on with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, ancient Greek religion, science fiction, Ao3. I’m looking for a roommate who also prefers a clean and tidy space, someone who can see us being friends. Since I’m new to the area, I’d love to live with someone who can show me around or who is willing to explore with me—I’m looking to settle in and find my favorite thrifting spots, bookstores, coffee shops, bars, parks, trails, other haunts.
