My name is Kendalll Rye Kuczek, and I’m officially moving to Newport for the summer, with the possibility of staying even longer. I grew up in Evergreen, Colorado, surrounded by mountains, forests, and endless trails, which is where my love for the outdoors first began. Over the past few years, I’ve been living in New York City, where I’ve embraced the fast-paced energy of city life while still finding ways to explore, stay active, and seek out new experiences. Now, I’m excited to trade skyscrapers for the ocean and start a new chapter by the water.

I’m someone who loves to stay busy and make the most of every day. Most of my free time is spent exploring—whether that means discovering new places around town, hiking nearby trails, wandering through local shops, or simply walking along the beach. I enjoy shopping and finding unique local spots, but I also value time outdoors just as much. Being outside, especially near the water, is something that keeps me grounded and energized.

I’m very independent, organized, and comfortable navigating new places and meeting new people. Moving around and adapting to new environments has always been exciting for me, and I enjoy building routines while still leaving room for spontaneity and adventure. I also love animals and spending time with them—I have one of my own and have always been someone who feels happiest around pets and wildlife alike.

This summer in Newport, I’ll be working in downtown Newport, which I’m really looking forward to as it will allow me to be right in the center of the town’s energy and community. When I’m not working, I plan to spend most of my days exploring the area—walking along the harbor, spending time at the beach, checking out local shops and cafés, and getting out on the water whenever possible.

Sailing is a huge part of my life, and something I’m especially excited about in Newport. I’ll frequently be away on sailing trips and spending time out on the ocean, which is one of my favorite ways to explore and disconnect from the everyday routine. Whether it’s short day sails or longer trips, being on the water is something that has always felt natural to me.

Overall, I’m excited to experience everything Newport has to offer this summer—from the coastal lifestyle to the outdoor adventures, the sailing community, and the chance to meet new people along the way. I’m looking forward to spending my days exploring, staying active, enjoying the ocean, and fully embracing this next adventure.
