Shamar

Hey! My name is Shamar, I’m 26 and looking for a room in Brighton for a Sept 1 move-in. I’m originally from NYC and work full-time at Babson College. I’m in the office most days (usually out of the house around 8 AM –5 PM) and work remotely on Wednesdays.

I lived in Oak Square for two years before moving to Dorchester after finishing my master’s this past September. Brighton would be ideal since it’s closer to work and a lot of my friends are still around Oak Square, so I’m hoping to move back to the area.

Outside of work I stay pretty busy — I play basketball and I’m in a pool league — so I’m not home a ton during the week. When I am home I’m pretty laid back and easygoing.

Don’t have any pets (but I do love cats and dogs), I do have a car, but don’t mind street parking. I’m pretty flexible with roommates as long as everyone is respectful and keeps the common areas clean.

My current lease ends August 27, so I’m ideally looking for Sept 1 (or a few days earlier if possible). Around $1200/month is my sweet spot, but I’m open to slightly more or less depending on the place.

This will be my 4th move since 2022 so I’m really hoping to find somewhere I can stay for 2–3 years.
