Hey, I wanted to share a bit about what living with me would actually look like, because I know a good roommate fit matters a lot. My work schedule is overnight Monday–Friday (roughly 8 or 10 PM to 10 AM), so most of the time I’m either at work or sleeping during the day. That means: • I’m almost never around in the evenings or at night when most people are home and active. • Weekday mornings/afternoons I’m usually asleep (I use noise-canceling headphones + white noise + blackout curtains, so I’m not easily disturbed and I don’t make noise). • Saturdays I have completely off, but I usually spend the afternoon/evening either out hiking or chilling quietly at home. • Sundays are fully off and low-key. • Then Monday rolls around and I’m back to the night rhythm. Personality-wise, I’m pretty quiet and independent by nature. My main hobbies are: • Hiking (usually out of the house for several hours when I go) • Playing online games with friends (headset on, voice chat with them—not blasting anything into the apartment) • Reading (just me, a book or Kindle, maybe some very quiet lo-fi in headphones) I don’t throw parties, don’t have people over often, don’t play loud music or instruments, don’t cook elaborate smelly meals at weird hours. Basically, if you’re looking for someone who respects shared space, keeps things tidy, pays on time, and mostly just fades into the background when you’re trying to relax, watch shows, have friends over, or work from home—that’s me. I really value a calm, drama-free home. I figure if we’re both considerate about the basics (quiet hours, cleaning up after ourselves, communicating if something comes up), we can each do our own thing and still enjoy living together.
