Description
This is a very good question, and I’m not sure how to answer it beyond the most literal - it’s just how my mind works. Strictly speaking, if I moved in with you there would be no others - just me, my fairly generous collection of stuff, and that’s it. I have a 3-mattress queen-sized bed with no frame, three small bookshelves for my home-video collection, and a 50-inch desk for my computer. Otherwise, it would be 2 or 3 suitcases’ worth of clothes, some books, and a 65-inch 4K HDTV. No dresser though, so I’d need something sturdy to support that screen; it’s about 40 pounds including the stand. The other growing possession I have is my Christmas village collection, along with two 6-foot trees (I’m willing to part with one of them, if necessary). Lastly is just some average odds and ends; a few books primarily, and my music CD collection which is mostly in a 520-count zipper binder.
Now, on to me as a person - I guess the most accurate one-word description would be “cautious”. I’m usually reasonable and friendly, trying to be trustworthy and peaceful with most, but I do have certain values I refuse to budge on. I understand everyone is different to varying degrees, but I also don’t believe in moral relativism or “throwing the baby out with the bathwater”. Having said that, I try my best to never abuse anyone with my views, but if asked I don’t censor myself. I honestly think the entire politically-correct mindset is cowardly, and so are people who live by it. It takes courage to say what you believe and stand by it, but you’ll also get more respect from people who matter most.
Let’s see, what else? I was born with a rare form of autism previously called Asperger’s Syndrome; it affects the way I perceive and react to everything very deeply. My thoughts and feelings “latch” onto people and situations like a steel trap, and disengaging that bond is often very difficult regardless of the situation. This does have a positive side though, because it heightens specific interests once I dedicate myself to something. I’m also epileptic, which is treated with pills, and I currently use a cane for arthritis.
