Hello my name is Matt and I am a single 46 yr old male looking for a room to rent in the Chesapeake area if possible but I am open to almost anywhere if its close to a major bus line and the price is right. I am looking to pay weekly if possible but could potentially do a full month at a time if the move in date is worked out right. I am looking for a place to rent because my last landlord sold the property I was in and the new people raised rent sky high immediately. I moved to Franklin VA with family however there is no work out there so I moved back and am currently stuck in extended stay hotels. I don’t smoke or do drugs of any kind and I haven’t been around any animals so no weird scents to upset any furry friends you may already have. I am very quiet usually in my room when not at work just watching TV. I have 3 kids 2 are grown 1 is in Ohio with his maternal grandmother until I can get back into a place of my own. I can provide proof of income and even have my last landlords number to verify I never missed a rental payment even during COVID. I am open to paying for a background check or credit application to verify no evictions but Only if we have met in person and I have viewed the property. I apologize for any inconvenience but to many people have responded to my ads asking for all kinds of fees and payments without even speaking directly so I am weary of doing anything involving money at this point without knowing it’s actually going towards a possible place to stay. I’m open to helping out around the house or yard also as long as I’m capable of doing the work.
