Description
It’s just my husband and me with our 2 German Shepherds, with one being my service dog. We also have 3 cats that sleep all day and play with each other at night. They use their litter robot religiously. I also have (2) sugar gliders. They stay in the cage for the most part.
We’re clean and clean up after ourselves. We’re quiet except for when the dogs are barking or playing with each other. I work from home and my husband works in an office. We’re both gainfully employed and have been in our positions for years.
Sometimes you’ll forget you even have 2 new roomies until you hear me going NoOooOoo at my dogs or laughing at Seinfeld or Psych on TV. We go to bed fairly on most night as in you will not see us past 8 pm in the common shared area. We’re also real big homebodies and don’t really like to bring people over so you never have to worry about guests overstaying their welcome or guests at all if you’re introverted like us. We do have a daughter who will visit but will not be spending the night.
Hope to find a nice basement apartment with a walk out or a room in a basement with a walk out. I’m currently living in a room in my friend’s basement that is a walk-out to a fenced in yard. Don’t worry, I ALWAYS pick up after my dogs. I hate the poo smell.
About the pets: My dogs are male and female. Male is 4 yrs old and female is 3 yrs old. She is my service dog. They’re both fixed and up to date on vaccines and on flea & tick treatment. They’re not destructive and since I’m home during the day, they’re rarely ever left alone. My cats just do cat things. They have a scratching post and a tree with 7 scratching posts. They have a litter robot - it’s an automatic litter box that cleans itself after a cat uses it. It’s emptied out regularly. Our gliders live in a tall cage that I put on top of a 2’ x 2’ plywood. They’re pretty quiet. I clean their cage regularly and their cage is lined with potty training pads to catch their waste and any uneaten food.
I know we may seem a lot but small spaces aren’t an issue to us. My dogs get plenty of exercise as I walk them frequently. I find that the smaller the space, the less to clean and less stuff to buy.
