Generally, I am a homebody. I’ve been sharing my home which was mine and my mother’s home until she passed away 3 years ago. My sister and her son and daughter have been living with me for the past 10 years. It has always been a difficult relationship and situation because of childhood issues and then she had cervical cancer. I have not wanted to evict her because when her cancer comes back, which her oncologist says is a given because there is no cure for cervical cancer, her daughter would fall into my custody. Our difficult relationship has finally pushed me beyond my limits and I want to sell my house and downsize. I doubt seriously that my niece would come into my custody at this point. She is 13 and her mom will probably make different arrangements. I already only use my bedroom and my son’s room which I converted into a den for myself. I like my privacy but I don’t like being alone. I share the kitchen and laundry areas already, so I am accustomed to that. I have a dog and a cat that stay in my room. It would be nice to have a fenced backyard for my dog. I attend church on Wednesday nights for handbell and choir rehearsals and on Sunday. I do have an immunodeficiency that causes frequent sinus infections but, I do weekly home infusions to replace my immune system. I’m basically pretty laid back and easy to get along with. I’m not looking for a relationship, just someone to share space with. A friend would be great. I love Amy Grant and Vince Gill and attend their Christmas concert every year at The Ryman in Nashville. I only listen to Christian music.
