I’ve rented month to month for 4 years in a small mother-in-law apartment above a garage in Jeremy Ranch. My landlord is very ill, in the hospital, I have just just been informed they are selling the place and I have to be out by the end of this month, November 2025. Frustrating so little notice, especially after helping her so much these last 4 years, but I hope she will be okay.

I am a young looking 63, an x-expert skier who plans to take it back up again once I reach my weight loss goal. I love hiking. I was in the Corporate world much of my life, and love trading stocks and crypto in my spare time. When I first came to town ten years ago I managed a small sales floor for a few years, while taking care of my elderly father. I’ve been with Vail now for 4 years. I get along with people great.

I’m not averse to a one year lease, potentially staying longer ideally, though a 6 month or even month to month is okay. I’d even take something temporarily while I took the time to find a longer term place. But ideally, I could stay for quite a few years. I am reliable, honest, and get along with most anybody, and have plenty of local work and personal references. I sold most of my things, so will bring very little with me. I even have a nice cot, so if unfurnished I can sleep on that until I get my own furniture.
