Tenaya

Hello! :) My name is Tenaya (she/her/hers) I’m 36-years-old and work in emergency management for the State of California, currently in a hybrid telework position and office in Midtown. I’ve worked my whole life in the public and volunteer services emergency management, and the peer support and YA mental health fields. My current position focuses on young adult leadership development and wildland fire response. I’m looking to move into a new place starting now and eyeing moving in the 1st of August. I have solid rental history, and steady income (working for the state may be a lot of things, but it is reliable). Very open minded and mental health supporter. If you have any questions, ask away!

My schedule is working routinely (M-F 8am–4:30pm), and I travel out of town for site visits, training, or emergency responses, or visiting my sister. I’m quiet, respectful, and used to living with folks who have longer on/off hours. I usually sleep with ear plugs in so I don’t hear a lot of the noise at night, and usually try to start winding down around 10pm as far as movement and making sounds goes. I like to be able to make my room cooler at night during sleeping hours, whether through an open window, fan, ac. In my downtime, I’m usually trying things out to improve myself in some way, catching up on sleep, swimming, biking, enjoying music or movies, reading, puzzling, studying, or relaxing. I use my room as a place to have downtime/decompress, so I’m not really one to have others over and just kind of use the space for myself. I’m also great at remaining flexible and working things out in a very natural and even-mannered way.
