Dan

Hi! I’m Dan, and I’m what’s typically called an introvert, and what’s been called a germaphobe. I can be social, but in small doses with familiar people. I like my quiet space and time, my cats (children), video games, table top games, movies, reading, and general geekery (but I’m not one of those toxic fans). So much of a geek that I owned a comic store in the early 90s.

I have health concerns, specifically my breathing and neuromuscular issues (bad back injury means I can’t pick up a car anymore, and I have long COVID) I mask everywhere in public, don’t wear my shoes indoors, run air purifiers 24/7, and don’t eat inside restaurants.

I am a decent cook and like to do it for others too, and I’m handy in a lot of ways, especially with electronics. Other things I’m as brave and capable as YouTube and life experience can make me.

I’m not huge on visitors often, especially if they’re not health/virus conscious, I can’t be around oil diffusers, air fresheners, or burning candles. I don’t drink, but I will on occasion have an edible if the occasion or stress calls for it.

I’d really like to find a roommate who will like and be good to my cats. If my room is big enough, they don’t need to free roam the home. It’d be great if we have some similar interests, they’re ok with masking when sick if not more, not wear shoes inside, and just be forward thinking on viruses and germs.

I’m starting over after a couple of rough years, and need to be around people who can be understanding of that. Wouldn’t complain if I were able to make a friend or two along the way.
