Hello! I’m a mid-30s professional with a very friendly cat who’s looking for either an open room in a 2-bedroom or a 2-bedroom to rent and then find a roommate. I’m currently in a month-to-month situation so I have some flexibility to wait for the right place but ideal start time would be between April-June 2025. My budget is around $1,600-1,700 max per room. I would love to stay in Somerville if possible but I’m open to East Arlington, South Medford, or Cambridge if near the T (I work at Mass General Hospital). Necessities are laundry in the building and the landlord being open to a cat (I have a signed ESA letter for her as well as a reference from my current landlord). Strong preferences are 1.5+ bathrooms and an off-street parking space. I’m a very friendly and easygoing roommate - there’s no drama with my current place, I just want a change and more space. I have a hybrid work schedule and plenty of hobbies/friends, so I’m not someone who will always be in the apartment but I do want an easy-going, chill space where we can both socialize and retreat as needed! I do like to sing and work out at home, so I’m hoping for someone who is okay with occasionally overhearing vocal exercises or a workout video (at reasonable hours)! My cat is wonderful with people, but her interactions with other animals vary, so it would be best if she’s the only pet in the apartment.
