Hello! I moved to NYC in late June 2021 and am fortunate to have had a place to land that’s allowing me plenty of time to determine which neighborhood I want to live in and to find the right roommate(s). I’m pretty set on remaining in Bed-Stuy: I love the community and residential feel, and my commute is great (I have an office in FiDi I can go to flexibly) though I may explore other options for a really good roommate fit.

A bit about me, I enjoy variety in my experiences as long as they’re connecting. My “three words” are diversity, freedom, and love. I moved to New York primarily to be around more great people.

I’m a software engineer but my interests are pretty broad. I enjoy good discussions, picnics in the park, going to the beach, the occasional night out dancing. I’ve done some organizing work with car-reducing transit advocacy and I am trying to decrease the amount of waste I generate. I try to show care for the world around me, my home, my neighborhood, my friends, and the broader world we live in.

I’m letting you know all this because I care a lot about finding the right person to live with; ideally a person I can share more with than just the roof beneath which we live. Beyond standard cleaning and upkeep, sharing the occasional meal, conversation, and maybe activity outside the house would be nice.

I am lucky to have plenty of time for the housing search, so I’d like to take the time to get to know a future roommate. If what I’ve wrote sounds at all appealing, I look forward to hearing from you!
