Hello, I’m Joe! I’m a 43 year old Army veteran, former video editor, now working as an electrician, a little more than halfway through my apprenticeship. I have no pets, I don’t smoke, and I always maintain a quiet, clean home. I have a small (7.1 cu/ft) standing refrigerator, air fryer, twin XL bed, any of which can go into storage if necessary. I am in bed by 8-9 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and wake up after 4 AM, working Monday through Friday, and have class in Manassas every other Thursday, with online homework and studying at home.

Important to me: a quiet house after 8:00 PM (on work nights), and a place to park my motorcycle. My hobbies are cycling, camping, and cooking healthy, delicious meals.

I am currently renting a finished basement apartment in Loudoun with everything I want and need—my own kitchen, laundry, internet, etc. all included in my rent. The only complaint I have is that my landlord and his family do not respect the quiet hours. He often throws parties in his basement on work nights and his kids wake me up after I fall asleep. This is starting to have a negative effect on my life. I need good sleep to work safely doing the kind of work that I do. I only want a quiet place to live for the next year or two at most until I graduate, and the freedom to cook my own healthy meals. I have renter’s insurance. My lease is already up (on a month-to-month basis right now). I’d like to give my landlord a 30 day notice of moveout as a courtesy but can otherwise move out in as little as possible (all this can be worked out as things develop).
