Shay

My name is Shay and I’m a single mom of a 13 year old. I work part-time in analytics for the DoD, have a small business where I rent out my converted camper van, and I’m also a graduate student studying Data Science.

I’m pretty easy going, have a continuous learning/growth mindset, love rock climbing and looking forward to snowboarding in Tahoe next winter! My son loves video games and camping. Hoping to move this summer and timing is flexible. We mostly like to have a quiet home but still enjoy having get togethers (but don’t have to).

I like to cook when I’m not too busy. We both tend to keep to ourselves but do enjoy watching a movie or show together and sometimes he has friends hang out at home in his room.

Hoping to share a home in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, or Granite Bay area starting this summer. The area is pretty expensive but I am focused on my son going to a good school and living in a nice neighborhood. Would love to find a nice large home.

I have 2 dogs who are very well behaved and friendly. Bandit is a 60 lb Bernedoodle and Lyla is a 50 lb husky (not the crazy kind of husky, the lazy calm kind). We also have 2 cats. I know this is a lot so I’m willing to try to get family to give them a home if necessary. I’d love to find a nice home to share with someone else or another family. We need 2 rooms to ourselves, at least 1 private bathroom, and a yard for the pups.

If it matters I lean on the liberal/independent side. Generally speaking, no matter what I practice in life or believe I’m open to other view points and enjoy learning more!
