Hello!

I’m Tony, a single software dev that’s fully WFH. Looking at a April 1 move-in!

I currently live in San Luis Obispo, where I escaped to (from Seattle) at the beginning of lockdowns, and am looking for a move down to connect more with people who share my cultural bg, profession, interests, choice in cuisine, and lifestyle.

💔 My current housing situation is in a 8 bed 8 bath historical home with some of the loveliest people I have ever had the fortune of living with. It’s one I am very sad to leave, as it is filled with those of whom I love dearly — but I have come to realize that I must prioritize my own personal development and growth in order to be truly happy and unfortunately I am finding myself in stagnant waters here.

What it’s like to live with me

I’m very tidy and clean, cook often, and prefer to have all my dishes done before I eat. Am also very social, conscientious of others, and well mannered. No allergies and love all animals.

At my core I am a problem solver and system builder, so I will not hesitate to get to the root of a problem, devise a solution, and spend resources to implement it if it means greater peace and convenience for all of us.

💼 Career wise I work at LateCheckout doing software engineering and content. We are a fully distributed team so I am fully WFH (though I like to do some days out of the house for sanity purposes). I absolutely love my job and career path. It’s also not a meeting-heavy role, so I am usually head down programming/studying during the workday!

I was raised by parents who lived through the cultural revolution so naturally I’ve seen firsthand the mental disarray a cluttered and chaotic living environment can cause. I currently live in a very large 8 bed 8 bathroom townhouse so communal living is not new to me at all. I’ve done plenty of dishes that weren’t mine, cleaned plenty of messes that I didn’t make, and have done so unbegrudgingly (bc who wants to live in a dirty place)
