Alyssa & Eric

Eric and I are a couple who have both unfortunately hit some hard times in the housing department. We will have 2 cats moving with us (Muffin and Ghost; both very well-trained, well-behaved, and generally go unnoticed–litterbox would stay in our room), no dogs, nothing that goes in a tank (yet). I smoke cigs (Eric does not) but I refuse to smoke indoors on principle. Eric is currently job-hunting but does doordash and miscellaneous handywork for income currently. I am currently working at Giant, but once I do the online courses for my real estate license and take my state/federal exams, I will be working for an agency that has an office in Harrisburg; that job is already secured. We are both 29, both relatively quiet people. Eric does electronic music production and plays PC/laptop videogames in his spare time. I do crocheting, cross-stitching, basically anything crafty; I play guitar and sing, but currently only own an acoustic guitar so it’s not loud; I read a LOT. What would make us great roommates is that we are pretty quiet people who stick to ourselves for the most part. We like to go out, too, and walk around nearby parks and around the area because I also love photography, so we try to get outside a lot. Beyond that, when jobs are secured, we go to work, everyday, and do our best to make on-time payments; rent comes first. Another bonus is that I, personally, enjoy cleaning, especially in common areas. He joins me and helps in the cleaning department as well. I have a bit of an obsession with keeping the house stocked, so we will rarely ever be low on cleaning supplies, toilet paper, soaps, paper plates/towels, etc. I am also coming with a complete dish set and a bunch of cups/mugs. Neither myself nor Eric drink or do any drugs, unless you count caffeine. I looooove coffee, which there will also always be a steady supply of, as well as hot tea.

Money for us is going to be a little on the tight side for the time being to start off; we have both been hit pretty hard in employment and housing lately. We will both be spending the next 2 months saving every dime we can for move-in purposes, and very shortly we will both be fully back on our feet. We both have our own cars and basic bedroom furniture to get by for enough time until we can buy new stuff.
