My work hours can be quite long so I am often not around consistent times/ days. With my job, I can leave without much notice for 14 to 28 days at a time. I try to be as tidy as possible, especially in common spaces. When I do get the opportunity to be at home I often am just trying to rest/ sleep. I have a dog but she stays with my parents due to my schedule- on occasion and with permission, I do try to take her for a week at a time here and there.
