Hi new friends!

I’m looking for a new living situation with easy-going roommates who value effective communication, and are focused on making the living space a comfortable and welcoming environment for all.

My old situation was great, but for various reasons we decided to amicably part ways.

I’ve lived here for just shy of over half of a decade, and NYC is such a great place for me that when I tell people I’m not from here they are usually surprised.

Here’s some relevant stuff about me:

Work: I currently work in a restaurant, and can reliably pay all bills and cover all other financial responsibilities. I used to work as an optician, then in film for a while, but my career took some turns, and now I’m pursuing managerial roles.

Fun: I love spending hours making soothing synth music (with headphones, I don’t even have speakers), recently picked up sewing, and love meeting new people.

Schedule: I wake up around 7 AM every day and typically go to bed between 11 PM and midnight.

Routine: I get a lot of work done in the morning, and often go to a coffee shop first thing to be more productive. That way I can spend the rest of the day doing what I want, and chipping away at whatever work I have left more casually.

Cat: I have a very sweet cat named Lucy who mostly stays in my bedroom. I brush her frequently so cat hair isn’t really an issue. I also keep the litter box in an enclosure under my bed with a ton of odor absorbers so stepping into my room, even I often forget there is a litter box in there.

Weekends: I keep night hours when I go out on weekends, so I come and go silently, likely leaving before you go to bed, and getting back after you wake up. I don’t come home loud and fucked up, and I never bring home “new friends”.

Conflict/Disagreement: I prefer addressing conflicts promptly and resolving them respectfully the same or next day. Open communication is key to maintaining a harmonious living environment.
