Sophie

My name is Sophie and I’m looking for a place to stay in Brooklyn this summer. I’m a 25-year-old brown dyke raised in Melbourne and based in London, where I’m two years into a PhD in race, ethnicity and postcolonial studies at UCL. I’m visiting NYC from May to July to carry out fieldwork for my dissertation, which is about anti-racist activism in the US and Australia.

Aside from study, I’m an avid reader and writer, love to play football (soccer), enjoy a lively dancefloor and like to get involved in local political organising where possible. I’ve lived in shared housing for the past six years, so am experienced with adapting to different households and contributing to keeping things friendly and tidy.
