I’m Shweta, a recent Spring grad from The New School, now working as an editor and writer. I’m originally from India but have lived in New York for over four years now.

I’m tidy, value effective communication, and am overall pretty laid back. I am a huge fan of cooking (always happy to share the bounty with my roommates and loved ones!!) and enjoy hosting a few friends for dinner from time to time (but also understand if you would prefer that we spend time in my bedroom instead of common spaces). I want to live with people (preferably of colour) who enjoy communal living and want to create a cozy home environment that is warm and safe for all its inhabitants. That being said, I’m also an introvert and need my time to recharge and decompress after a long day, and would prefer living with roommates who are understanding and respectful of the same.

My hobbies include taking care of my bajillion plants, reading, working out, photography, collaging (wine + collage nights, anyone???), and painting. I don’t bring a party home without ample notice/permission, and would expect the same of my roommate/s. Above all else, it’s simply about respect and consideration, all qualities I am big on. I have a guarantor and am looking for long-term sublets/lease takeovers.
