Hi! I’m Jonathan, a 30 year-old research associate starting at a climate tech company in South San Jose next Monday. I’m looking for someone to team up on a 2-bedroom in San Jose or Santa Clara — open to other nearby areas too.

I work typical weekday hours. In my free time I read, draw at the park, explore scientific interests, jog, hike, and meditate — I’m also hoping to get into swimming and pickup soccer. I’m quiet and low-drama, like minimalism (e.g. no TV), and am clean-ish*. I value clear communication and like to check in during the first few weeks with a new roommate to talk through anything we could adjust to make things work better for both of us. I rarely have people over, and would always check with my roommate first; happy to have a “no guests” policy if that’s preferred.

No pets, no smoking.

Ideally I’m looking for a stable 12 month lease with roommates who are also working professionals or grad students. In the short term, I’m also open to a month-to-month room while I search for the right long-term situation.

*Although I have papers scattered on my desk and snack throughout the day, my stuff is never in my roommate’s way and I wouldn’t tolerate anything gross. My most recent roommate was very clean, and my clean-but-imperfectly-so lifestyle didn’t bother her.
