Sophie

Hi there, awesome to virtually meet everyone!

My name is Sophie. I’m a sophomore at FIU double majoring in clinical psychology and neuroscience. I’ve chosen to take some time off in the interest of working towards saving money for my brother’s college fund, who I’m planning on bringing along with me. I’ll be moving out of my dorm and hope to find someplace else in the meantime, possibly with you :)

I’m a pretty mellow person, preferring to spend my weekends at home doing yoga, meditation, cycling, learning guitar, catching up on some reading, really anything that’ll help me appreciate the present moment (especially in a place as fast-paced as Miami!).

My interests vary from philosophy, psychology & neuroscience (duh), history, cosmology, photography, sociology and so on. There isn’t very much I’m not interested in, though, so I’m sure I’ll share more than a few points of interest with potential roomies.

I’ve just finished up my fall semester but otherwise, I usually spend my weekdays going to and from classes. I’m in the process of applying for a job, however, so my weekdays will likely follow a 9-5 schedule in the near future.

As far as what you can expect from me, I enjoy keeping my living space clean and tidy to make time and mental energy for the things I enjoy doing. I am a somewhat introverted, private person so I prefer to keep my living space to myself and hang out with friends elsewhere.

What else… I’m an early riser, waking up between 4-7, depending on school/work obligations. I have a cat named Misha. She is a feline carbon copy of me; very mellow, easy-going, prefers to keep to herself. Small little thing, weighs 5lbs despite being 6 years old now. She doesn’t have any of the usual behavioral issues cats sometimes have, i.e., scratching furniture, late night demon hour, going potty in unfortunate locations. I would prefer to bring her along with me and though I’m sure she’d be a great roomie, I’m willing to leave her in my mom’s care should you prefer to stick to humans :)
