Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m a 51 year old disabled female. I use a wheelchair and will be getting a rollator which is a walker that has four wheels, a seat and hand brakes (due to having my right hip removed permanently) to get around but I’m fully self-sufficient. The only thing I’m unable to do is drive so I have my groceries and prescriptions delivered. I am easy going, considerate, clean, very quiet and mostly stay in my room. I love to read, watch TV (mostly true crime and paranormal) and movies and I do a lot of word games like word searches, crosswords, find the difference picture puzzles and mazes. But, I can be social at times and love to play board games, cards (but I don’t know many different games) and trivia! I worked in the medical field for many years until my health forced me to stop working, completely. I do have a “child” that will visit but I’m referring to my son (who lives in Gainesville) who’s not a child, anymore. He’s 19 and a very nice, very polite, kind, respectful, young man. He works hard and does his best to help take care of me if I need something. In fact, he goes out of his way to help anyone in need. A VERY important fact is that I have three cats who are not just pets but family members and my emotional support animals (I can get the paperwork stating that, if needed). The last two years have been very difficult, esp. with my health and they have really helped keep my spirits up and kept me going. Needing to take care of them forced me to get up every day which was good for my PT after my surgery and all the difficult months that followed. They are litter box trained and quiet. If necessary, they can stay solely in my room but a couple of them are very friendly and love to socialize with people and other animals. I’m a lover of all animals so if you have pets that’s great!! I am needing to move at the end of this month (which was not expected) due to my friend, who I currently live with have something that occurred in her personal life. I would really prefer a female roommate or a couple around my age give or take a few years who are hopefully animal lovers, obviously. I look forward to hearing from you!
