Thanks for checking out my bio. It’s a little long on purpose to give a good idea of who I am, and what I am looking for.

The basics:

I am 31 years old, male, and I work an 8-6 M-F job with the County of Ventura. I do work remotely from home two days a week so would need a home where it’s okay to be home during the day. I lean more towards the spiritual side of things, interested in: crystals, energy work, personal accountability and improvement, meditation, qi gong, vegan food. Seeking similarly oriented people.

Current Situation and What I’m looking for: I am currently Living in a small home in Newbury Park with too many people (6), and am looking for something that aligns a little better, energetically speaking than my current home. I am looking in Camarillo, Oxnard, Newbury Park, Ventura, Thousand Oaks, and nearby areas. I have a great relationship with my landlord and he would be happy to provide a reference.

Ideally looking for a room that is at least 130 sq feet (10x13)+ due to the furniture I have for my office setup and bookshelves (I collect crystals and have them displayed) Seeking to live with 1 - 2 other similar individuals around ages 25-45. Preferably with at least one other male, but am open to various groups depending on alignment, shared values, and of course I’m looking for that intuitive “hell yes”. I would consider larger groups in the right situation: If the house is large enough to allow some privacy and storage. Plan is to live here for more than 6 months, but would prefer a month to month agreement if possible. Would love to have a place with a yard. I would consider myself an artist first, and I am seeking a home with other professionals or creatives who want to converse and share ideas.
I work primarily with digital media, but I also draw, paint, sing, dance, write, and many other things. I currently work in the Learning and Professional Development field, but am also leaning into my passion project / side gig as an entrepreneur and energetic practitioner. I am Reiki attuned, and work with a number of different modalities. Because of this kind of work, I find that I am pretty intuitive, and energetically sensitive. In that respect, I am seeking a home that has a calm / chill / easy going / laid back atmosphere.

Over the years I have studied philosophy, cultural expression, various religions and belief systems, design, science, and a multitude of other areas of life. (I tend to lean heavily into intellectual pursuits) For the past few years, I was in a relationship with an Indian woman, and was practicing Hinduism, these days, I am exploring and learning about Buddhism as well. Part of my daily practice involves chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo”, and I would like to occasionally have guests over to chant with me in my private space.

I have a nerdy side and enjoy Fantasy and Sci-Fi audiobooks, movies, and so on. I do enjoy tabletop games (like DND, for example), board games, card games, etc.

I also collect some cool little curios like crystals, lava lamps, cool books, artwork, and lightsabers. (I do flow arts / tricks with sabers and staffs)

I’m not really into sports, politics, or modern news media, I don’t care what celebrities are doing, or what’s “in fashion” I really just find most of that to be a distraction, and I prefer a more inwardly focused experience.

I love great movies and philosophical / meaningful discussions. I’m past my party phase, and don’t drink very often, but will have a beer or glass of wine here and there. I am okay with Cannabis friendly homes, but I am just as okay if you prefer not to have it in the home. I am currently vegan, and would enjoy being with other vegans or vegetarians, but I know this is the minority, so this is low on my list. Eat and let eat. (If you eat meat, cool, no worries there, I’ll just use my own cooking stuff). Fortunately, everyone can eat vegan food, and I like to cook and share.

I have no pets, but am open to homes with pets. I have no animal allergies. (Love friendly cats) I am recently single, so am focusing on my own personal development, and rediscovering what it is like to be independent after 5 years in partnership with a wonderful woman. Learning and growing to be a better man. She really taught me the value of a clean, tidy, and organized home space.

Any friends I would have over would be very similar to me, calm, well-meaning, respectful, and kind-hearted. I have no kids, and would like to live in a home with adult residents.

I am decently handy with tools and can support around the house with most things that don’t require power tools (other than a drill)

Deal Breakers (these are my “we probably won’t work out” items)

• Cigarette use (especially indoors)
• Loud music late at night
• Frequent Party atmosphere
• Heavy drinking / alcohol first environment
• Loud or disruptive children or pets
• Disrespectful of property, privacy, boundaries
• Yelling, Fighting, Shouting, Arguments
• Multiple frequent or random guests
• Dirty / Cluttered spaces
• “Hoarder” mentality
• No communal space / no shared living areas / no kitchen access (my home should be a home, not a prison)
