Description

My name is Ethan (30, M, he/him) My lease ends later in December! I’m currently in a studio due to moving during covid and would really like to be back in a house with other people.

A bit about me: Work in cancer research at providence, so the location is amazing. I typically work 8-4 m-f, sometimes a touch earlier depending on the day. I typically take the bus to work and am a huge fan of a shorter commute! I’m from Pendleton, went to OSU, and have lived in Portland for almost 5 years now.

I have a heeler pup named Jimmy! He just turned 4 and is sweet as can be. He’s surprisingly lazy for a heeler and mostly just naps while I’m away. The yard sounds so great for him to zoom and roll around in. We’ve been in an apartment and he just loves the fenced yard at my gf’s place. I don’t expect my housemates to ever feel responsible for him or like they need to care for him, just that he’s respected and not a burden :) he will gladly take any and all love and pets from anyone willing to give it though.

When I’m not at work I enjoy checking out local spots for a beer, hanging out at home watching something on tv, cooking, playing my bass, and just being able to relax in my space.

Home is definitely a space for me to relax and does not have to be a social event. I’d love to have roommates that enjoy hanging out, making food, sharing a drink, or whatever when the opportunity arises, but don’t expect or want a constant need for tons of meals together, weekly things, or that we have to be best friends. Just good vibes and friendly faces from time to time.

I’m a tidy person, I like keeping common areas clean and everyone to generally pick up after themselves, but I also understand sometimes you’re running late and a dish is thrown in the sink to be dealt with later, or the living room is reset in the morning when it’s a late night. I’m all about good communication regarding expectations and accountability to make a living situation happy for everyone.

My girlfriend lives in SE as well and Jimmy and I will often spend a night or two at her place. Having a home where she’s welcome from time to time as well is important to me. Her roommates have been so welcoming and inclusive and I want the same for her wherever I end up. She’s in medical school so she’s very busy and not one to just move in and never leave. Plus she makes amazing food and loves to share.
