Hi! My name is Bennie; I’m 22 y/o, completing my undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Counseling & Applied Psych online at and currently renting a room in Westside Costa Mesa w/ a couple in lieu of student housing. About what I am looking for in a room/roommate: I am looking for employment right now, but rest assured, I have been easily paying 1000/month (inc. utilities) for my current room for the past few months. I am looking to stay within that price range, NO more than 1200/month inc. utilities. I would have to give my roommates 1 month notice when I leave, so ideally I’d be moving in by late Feb/beginning of March. My main priority is finding somewhere I have privacy to do my schoolwork and in a quiet location. I’d like to hopefully get a cat or two at some point, but I won’t be moving in w/ one - not a deal breaker for me though. About me: • I’m non-binary, so it’s important that whoever I live w/ is LGBT+ friendly. I’d prefer to live w/ women and/or queer folks but ultimately am comfortable with whomever & will assess case by case. I have furniture, so a furnished room is not necessary. • I have a partner 27(M) who stays w/ me sometimes, but otherwise I don’t rlly have guests aside from [rarely, if at all] having a couple friends over to play games. I generally prefer to keep to myself at home :) • I wouldn’t classify myself as a “neat freak” but I am overall very tidy and know to respect shared spaces. If I were to get a cat or two, I know that it is my responsibility to care for and clean up after them :) • In my free time I’m an artist, writer, freelance makeup artist, beginner/intermediate yogi & love to hike/bike around SoCal. I’m originally from NYC so I never had such easy access to nature/beaches & it’s one of my favorite things about living here. • I’m completely sober and don’t drink or smoke. It doesn’t really matter to me whether you do/don’t, so long as there’s no hot-boxing the shared spaces or heavy partying haha. If you drink/smoke, it won’t bother me to be around as long as it’s not in my face or pushed on me. Let me know if you think your room/lifestyle, etc. sounds compatible & we can chat :)
